TeleTherapy
Given the 2020 COVID-19 Pandemic, Dr. Keesler is conducting all talk therapy over telephone or live video feed. Medicare and other insurers are reimbursing for teletherapy through at least January, 2021.
Dr. Keesler is licensed for psychological services in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. But as of October, 2020, Dr. Keesler was also granted Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT) # 5205 in PSYPACT participating states. As of this writing, participating states included Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, District of Columbia, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania.
After the COVID-19 Pandemic, Dr. Keesler will resume offering live or in-vivo psychotherapy as described on this website, but will continue to offer teletherapy. Even after the Pandemic, teletherapy can be a good option for folks who have demanding or inflexible schedules, frequently travel for work, are injured or disabled, or for whatever reason are unable to regularly visit a psychotherapist’s office for talk therapy. It is unclear at this time whether teletherapy will be covered by insurers after the Pandemic.
